People well know about the advantages of a Natural and Organic product versus synthetic ones. They know that the nature could not be mimicked perfectly regarding to the shortage of human knowledge and complexity of the nature! People trend on natural product is noticed by supplements manufacturers and so, some times you can find examples of artificial or synthetic products pretending to be Natural! It is enough to take a look at the Vitamins shelf in the pharmacies. Most of the labels on Vitamin C products are showing an Orange! Yes! Orange is the symbol of Vitamin C, but there is not any Orange Vitamin C in most of those products! So, How can you determine real Natural products from synthetic ones? 1) Read the Product Ingredients on the label: Fortunately, FDA and Health Canada have ruled supplements manufacturers to write the ingredients on the product label. Label is what you need to find out the products source. If you found ingredients as follows, then be sure that the product is a Synthetic Vitamin C supplements: Vitamin C Vitamin C (as Ascorbic acid) Vitamin C (as Sodium ascorbate) Vitamin C (as Calcium ascorbate) and any other ascorbate salts But on the label of Natural Vitamin C supplements you will find the following ingredients: Vitamin C from Acerola Vitamin C from berries Vitamin C from Camu camu Vitamin C from Rose hip a nd Vitamin C from other natural sources. Some manufacturers use a mixture of Natural and Synthetic Vitamin C, and you can see both of the Vitamin C sources on the label. For example, a Vitamin C supplement with Rose hip, means that it is made of synthetic Vitamin C plus a small percentage of Rose hip as a natural source of Vitamin C! Be advised: Natural Vitamin C supplements should provide you with 100% natural Vitamin C, not a mix! 2) Vitamin C content: You may think that the Vitamin C content of Natural Vitamin C supplements should be more than synthetic ones, but it is not correct! The Vitamin C content of Natural supplements is Less than synthetic Vitamin C products! Because the Vitamin C content of natural sources is low. The highest content of Vitamin C in the nature is for Camu camu (2800 mg/100 g) and Acerola (1680 mg/100 g) in comparison with Orange (53 mg/ 100 g). Regarding to the limitation of the size of the capsules, the maximum Vitamin C content in a 100% natural supplement is about 180 mg (NOAH Vitamin C). But, in the case of synthetic Vitamin C, the purity of Vitamin C is about 99%! It means that each capsule could contain more than 500 mg of Vitamin C. So, If there was high amounts (250 mg, 500 mg, 1000 mg, ...) of Vitamin C in each capsule or sachet, it means that the main part of that product is made of Synthetic Vitamin C! 3) Price! Right guess! The price of Natural Vitamin C is too much more than synthetic Vitamin C! The price of a synthetic, made in China Vitamin C with a purity of 99% is about 3 $ per kilogram (0.3 cent/1000 mg)! In the other hand, the price of the natural sources of Vitamin C (25%) is about 80$ per kilogram (8 cents/1000 mg). It means that the price of Natural Vitamin C is 100 times more expensive than synthetic Vitamin C (with the same purity). And so, the price of Natural Vitamin C supplements is higher than synthetic supplements. Go Organic, Live Healthy! NOAH Vitamin C : the best Vitamin C supplement for You!

Vitamin C is a water soluble and most popular antioxidant vitamin. It has several known biological activities in the human body. However, humans cannot synthesis Vitamin C by him/her self and so, humans in any gender and age should take Vitamin C from food or supplements in a daily basis, because Vitamin C could not be stored in the body and the excess amounts would be excreted from kidneys. Despite many demonstrated important roles of Vitamin C for human health, a false common thought yet is that Vitamin C may only be needed during cold seasons to help preventing or treatment of the common cold. It is a fact that Vitamin C has an immune-boosting effect, but as it was stated above, it is essential for many other normal physiological functions in your body as well. Vitamin C is a powerful anti-oxidant agent which could help your body to be recovered from an oxidizing status, which is usually happens due to the body normal metabolism (i.e. Respiratory chain in Mitochondrion produces superoxide radicals). In the hot weather, the body metabolism goes higher, resulting in production of more free radicals, and so, your body will need more Vitamin C. Another reason that you need more Vitamin C in the summer days, is your skin. In hot days, skin experiences stressful conditions and if you don’t care, your skin will be affected and damaged varying form dryness to even malignancies. Skin cells need collagen for keeping their normal condition and prevention of senescence. Vitamin C is crucial in collagen synthesis and so, to have a fresh and shiny skin you need Vitamin C every day. Vitamin C is also important in normal physiology of muscle cells, bones, gums, cartilages, and it proves that you need to take Vitamin C daily, either it was winter or summer. Take 100% Natural, Organic, and Healthy Vitamin C. Go Organic, Live Healthy...

Despite of the well-known antioxidant roles, the exact biological roles of Vitamin C on the brain function have only been recently described in details (1). In a study by Johns Hopkins University’s neurologists, results suggested that taking Vitamins C and E together might slow down the progress of Alzheimer’s disease. The beneficial effects of Vitamin C in the normal function of the brain is not only limited to the Alzheimer’s disease. Researchers in the Germany have found that the serum-concentration of the Vitamin C is significantly lower in the patients with mild dementia in comparison to control individuals. Although there is still a need for doing more researches to come to this conclusion that how Anti-oxidants can stop the Alzheimer’s disease progression, but the probable mechanisms are as follows: Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative disease caused by the accumulation of amyloid-beta proteins, formation of hard and insoluble plaques, degeneration of fibrillar, and loss of synapses (2). In these conditions, the oxidative stress due to the free radicals is the most suspected reason. Oxidative stress is not only seen in the pathological situations, but also Reactive oxygen species (ROS), as the major free radical molecules, are produced as a part of the normal physiological processes during the production of ATP in the mitochondria. Increase in the level of ROS affects replication and transcription of mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) which results in declining in the mitochondrial function. In a defective cycle, mitochondrial dysfunction leads to enhanced ROS production and related damages. Mitochondrial dysfunction is considered as another suspected reason for Alzheimer’s disease and there is a strong believe that targeting the mitochondrial dysfunction in the prodromal phase of the disease can slow down or prevent the neurodegenerative process and could restore neuronal function (3). In a normal body, ROS are neutralized by antioxidant enzymes (superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase, and catalase) and/or by antioxidants (including vitamin C, vitamin E, glutathione) within the cell and in the interstitial fluids. Shortage in these molecules in the body will help the defective cycle of the mitochondria, and there are some clinical studies which have reported the alterations in the mitochondrial function and Vitamin C deficiency among Alzheimer’s disease patients (4). Regarding to what was stated above and also many clinical evidences, taking Vitamin C as a powerful water-soluble anti-oxidant could be beneficial in lowering the damage of free radicals and in this way, it may help the mitochondria in keeping normal function, and subsequently helping in slowing down of the Alzheimer’s disease progression. Despite many outstanding advances in medicine, cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are remained as the main global reason for death. CVD is not a certain disease, rather is a class of diseases of heart and blood vessels including: stroke, heart failure, hypertensive heart disease, rheumatic heart disease, cardiomyopathy, heart arrhythmia, congenital heart disease, valvular heart disease, carditis, aortic aneurysms, peripheral artery disease, thromboembolic disease, and venous thrombosis. According to the 2018 report of World Health Organization (WHO), Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) take the lives of 17.9 million people every year, 31% of all global deaths. Tobacco use, unhealthy diet and physical inactivity are the most related risk factors for CVD. In contrast, healthy life style which healthy diet is an apparent part of that, can save and extend the lives of CVD patients even near the normal rate. Regarding to its powerful antioxidant effect, Vitamin C has recently received considerable attention among physicians for its possible role in heart health. Meanwhile, some clinical evidences showed the low plasma level of Vitamin C in patients with heart and vascular failure. Some fruits and vegetables are enriched in natural Vitamin C and antioxidants and this is well accepted that; the consumption of such fruits and vegetables can help the body to have healthy. One of the most probable mechanism of Vitamin C in heart protection is by metabolic balance through regulation in lipid metabolism which will affect the normal physiology of the heart and vascular system. For instance, Vitamin C inhibits the oxidation of LDL-protein. By inhibition of attachment of oxidized LDL to scavenger receptors through the endothelial of arteries. Vitamin C has shown to have the ability to decrease the risk of artery hardening (atherosclerosis). Among different modalities for heart protection, Linus Pauling's specific therapy for cardiovascular and heart diseases is high dosages of two essential nutrients; Vitamin C and the amino acid lysine. Vitamin C has ability to prevent apoptosis of vascular smooth muscle cells, through which can help to keep the plaques more stable and not growing in case of atherosclerosis. There are some clinical practice with enough sample size of CVD patients who received the Vitamin C and results showed the benefit of this intervention to reduce the arterial stiffness in these cases. To derive the beneficial effect, the dose and the duration of treatment are two matters of subject in those receiving Vitamin C. Although it should also be noted that regarding to the importance of bioflavonoids in the pharmacokinetic of Vitamin C it is better to use natural and organic Vitamin C. Attention: NOAH Vitamin C is not for prevention, treatment, or diagnosis of diseases.

Recent studies showed that vitamin C has the potential to reduce the respiratory damage in infants with smoking mothers during pregnancy. This study was published in the American Thoracic Society's American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine. Regarding to this study if mothers take 500 mg of vitamin C their children will have a better forced expiratory flows (FEFs) at the age three month. This issue not only shows the better prognosis of getting airway obstruction in these children but also may be related to the reduction of the risk of asthma. In this study, 251 pregnant smoker women who had one or more cigarettes in the last week were randomly assigned at 13 to 23 weeks of gestation to either receive vitamin C (125 women) or a placebo (126 women) these women and about 10 per cent of the women quit smoking during the study. Results showed the better FEFs in their children 3 months after birth. Similar results and better lung function were observed in those mothers who smoked during pregnancy and received vitamin C (500 mg/day) at 72 hours of birth. To sum up with the results of current study, it can be deduced that Vitamin C as an essential vitamin for human health may be considered as inexpensive medication for respiratory health of children with smoking mothers. Attention! Pregnant and breast feeding women should consult with their physician or pharmacist before taking any kind of nutritional supplements or OTC medications as well as other medicines. NOAH Vitamin C is Not an exception! Please consult with your doctor before taking it. Prostate cancer is the second most frequently diagnosed cancer in men worldwide. Environmental and lifestyle factors are most commonly involved risk factors for this cancer. Scientists recommended some simple ways to help preventing this cancer. On the other hand, benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH) is the most common reason of physician meet in men (over 40 years old). 1. Eat at Least Five Servings of Fruits and Vegetables Every Day Consumption of fruits and fresh vegetables can reduce the risk of prostate cancer by limiting the cell damage as a result of DNA oxidation, inhibiting the inflammatory responses and increasing the activity of detoxifying enzymes. Among vegetables and fruits, tomato is very useful for its high content of Lycopene (an anti-oxidant). 2. Eat Whole-Grain Bread and Fiber Rich Beans In a large study on 900 males diagnosed with prostate cancer, Harvard researchers analyzed their eating patterns for 14 years after diagnosis. The results showed that those who ate a healthy diet (with whole grains, fruits, vegetables, fish, and healthy oils) had a 36% lower risk of death. Eating whole grains and fibers can extend the survival rate in prostate cancer patients. 3. Reduce the Consumption of Beef, Pork, Lamb and Processed Meats In a study on prostate cancer patients, it was demonstrated that those who eat high amounts of red and processed meat, high fat dairy foods, and refined grains, had more than twice the risk of prostate-cancer related death, and a 67% increased risk of death from all causes. 4. Reduce the Use of Sugar and Salt There is an evidence that high blood sugar is linked to enlarged prostate. It is published in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism. A diet that's too high in salt (more than 6g a day) is not only considered as a cause of high blood pressure but also is associated with higher risk of benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH). 5. Take daily Vitamin C People who eat cruciferous vegetables like broccoli which are rich in vitamin C, tend to have a lower risk of developing prostate cancer. Daily consumption of vitamin C in foods or in supplement form can reduce the risk of prostate cancer, affect the size of prostate and inhibit the bacterial prostatitis. Autism is a developmental disorder which can affect the social interactions and communications. It is characterized by strange and repetitive behavior. Autism can be caused by several reasons including genetic and environmental factors, certain infections during pregnancy (e.g. Rubella), and using Valproic acid, Alcohol or Cocaine during pregnancy. Although there is still no cure for autism, but some autistic children can live independently and somehow recovered from the complications of this unknown disease. On the other hand, except genetic background, other risk factors are in our hands to control. Vitamin C is a water soluble and most popular antioxidant vitamin. Recent scientific evidences have indicated that administration of Vitamin C is associated with a reduced risk of chronic diseases. There are also some evidences that Vitamin C can play a neuroprotective role for neurodegenerative disease patients. Regarding to the results of recent investigations on autism, immune system and in particular inflammation in both peripheral and central immune systems are involved in the pathophysiology of this disease. Meanwhile, there is a strong believe that autism is a condition in which there is an oxidative damage condition and the footprint of free radicals is obvious. And so, with respect to all above facts, anti-oxidants like Vitamin C could help. From the other aspect, in autistic children several reasons including chronic diarrhea or constipation, gastrointestinal inflammation, and a tendency to restrict food choices could make them prone to Vitamin deficiency and so, the administration of essential vitamins could be helpful. Results of a double-blind, placebo-controlled study has explored the effectiveness of Vitamin C as a therapy for autism. However, based on several unknown features of autism there is still a great need to work on these patient’s lifestyle and nutrition. What can be surely concluded here is that the daily consumption of Vitamin C in children could help moderating disease related complications. According to the age of the children to develop the manifestation of autism disorder (3 years old) 15 mg per day of Vitamin C would be beneficial. ATTENTION : NOAH Vitamin C is 100% natural and organic Vitamin C. However, the dosage form (Capsule) is NOT appropriate for kids and so, please provide your kids with more suitable dosage forms like liquid dosage forms or fruits juice. Getting older is always associated with health challenges. Nowadays, as a gift of health care systems and global awareness, people can live more than ever before. Living as healthy elders needs several fundamental requirements as having physical activity, losing weight in overweight people, eating healthy foods, taking necessary vitamins as supplements. Most of the seniors’ health challenges are the chronic diseases like Arthritis, Cardiovascular Disease, Diabetes, Alzheimer Disease, and Cancer. For managing of these problems, there is an urgent need for keeping the normal physiology of the body. There is a common key for preventing all above challenges in seniors and even for managing the course of these diseases: Nutrition and Healthy life style. One of the leading theories proposed that damage to cellular mechanisms and tissues occurs because of chronic damage resulting from oxidative stress on the organism due to free oxygen radicals. Results of some studies have shown that people with a high intake of antioxidant vitamins by regular diet or as food supplements, generally have a lower risk of major chronic disease, such as cardiovascular disease, than people who are low consumers of antioxidant vitamins. Scientists believe that lower calorie intake in seniors will affect the vitamin level of their body. For instance, reduction in vitamin D and calcium during the elder ages is also associated with arthritis and fractures. So, elders need to pay more attention to their diet and they may need to take enriched foods and vitamins by supplements. One of the most known antioxidant vitamins that body everyday needs for its normal physiology is vitamin C. Regarding to available scientific data, there are several clinical evidences that vitamin C consumption due to its protective effect on telomere region of human genome can directly affect the lifespan. Daily vitamin C recommended dose for men is 90 mg and for women is 75 mg in adults. In elders although there is not any other recommended doses and consumption of 150 mg of Vitamin C daily could help having more protection against oxidant damages like mitochondrial dysfunction. Oxidant damages are considerable in elders and could reduce the cellular energy and consequently cause many diseases.
